The Camillus LK6 6" Folding Knife features a versatile, 2.5" Drop Point blade. The blade is made of D2 steel and is also bonded with titanium to provide an added layer of resistance to rust and corrosion. Plus, the bonding makes the blade up to 3x harder than untreated steel so the it can keep its edge far longer than traditional knife blades. The base D2 blade material is an air-hardened tool steel is sometimes called a "semi-stainless" steel because of its 12% chromium content. This way, you can have an added layer of corrosion resistance on top of the exceptional edge retention from the titanium bonding process. Though it is harder to sharpen than most, it can still be finished to a high-polish shine with some added effort. All in all, this steel offers exceptional balance between toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance. To compliment the LK6’s versatile blade, the handle is made of an extremely durable makeup of layers of fiberglass soaked in resin called G10, which is then highly compressed and baked. Once compressed and baked, G10 becomes impervious to moisture or liquid and gains unwavering physical stability under rapidly shifting climate conditions. The knife also features a frame lock for secure storage when not in use.
