The handle of the FH31-CF is constructed from a steel strip and attractive carbon fiber scales which minimise the overall weight of the knife. Carbon fiber is considered a reliable handle material as it does not absorb water and has a long service life. An important element of the knife is its locking mechanism, the FH31 utilises a liner lock to ensure the knife remains in an open position even when force is applied.
