The TOPS Knives Earth Skills Knife ESK-01 was designed by Matt Graham. He is an athlete, martial artist and expert when it comes to pre-historic tools and weapons, hunting, and shelters. He has more "dirt time" than almost anyone else out there. Despite its length TOPS managed to keep the blade relatively thin: only 3.2 mm. As such you use this knife like a sort of machete. Damage caused by batoning is therefore not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. In keeping with the same theme as his first design through TOPS (the Little Bugger). It’s thin with TOPS’; modified Scandi grind, a tumble finish and tan canvas Micarta handle scales. This one comes with a deep carry brown leather sheath that Matt designed based off some old Native American styles of sheath. It is meant to ride cross-draw, underneath the belt, towards the back side of the wearer.
