The original thought for this knife was to be an add-on to a large knife like the power eagle or a machete. The TOPS Rocky Mountain Spike is suitable for smaller tasks that are too cumbersome or difficult with a large knife. Field use with this knife revealed that it makes a great stand alone knife as well. Great for hikers, bikers, camping and boating. Easily worn on a belt, pack or even in your boot. Solid one piece design has a modified drop point with a small serration. Each knife is individually, differentially heat-treated.with the heat treat line being visible due to the Black River Wash process that gives the blade a sandstorm bronze finish. Jimping on the top and finger grooves keeps the knife comfortably in the hand. Holes have been added for para-cord wrapping as an option.
